This past week at the MTC has gone by so quickly! The days feel like weeks, but at least the weeks feel like days! I've been here for two weeks now and I can honestly say that this spiritual environment really is wonderful. It's helpful that we don't have phones and can only email for an hour once a week, even if it is a little bit difficult to get used to.
Some fun stories from this week:
In our classes, our teachers only speak Romanian. It's a little difficult at times because often I have no idea what they are saying. However, one of my teachers told me that I'm already fairly advanced in the language (even though I don't feel that way at all). Most class periods I can respond in Romanian and I always pray in the language. However, on Wednesday I needed to ask a clarifying question of one of my teachers (who is from Australia) and I responded in English with HER ACCENT. It was so embarrasing! I was like "I'm so sorry! I swear I only mean to do that with your Romanian one!" Which of course made everyone laugh harder. Sora Wilson and I (that's her name) now have a pretty awesome connection. She always helps me with the language and she's so, so nice.
On Thursday I received a lovely gift from one of my favorite teachers from high school! Mrs. Robertson has truly been such an inspiration in my life and getting her gift of a daily quote book has brightened every single day since I started reading it! Thank you so much!
The weekend is always wonderful - especially Sundays. We typically have general authorities from the church come and give devotionals. This past week we had L. Whitney Clayton talk to us about how much the LDS church is growing and that we, as missionaries, get to be a part of that growth! It was an awesome feeling to know that we get to share a message of love and happiness with so many people all over the world.
Anyways, that's all for now! Until next week!
