So many wonderful things are happening in Bucharest right now! Sora Elliott and I officially have 4 new investigators just from this past week alone! It's amazing how the work here is progressing and it is so fun being able to work with so many different, diverse people.
Here's Sora Elliot and I again! We are all bundled up in our scarves trying to look cute.
Usually, though, I look like this...
The cold and I don't mix super well. Seriously! It bites my face and makes my cheeks hurt. But, c'est la vie! Or, in Romanian, asta-i viata! The learning of useful gospel-related language terms is coming along great if you can't tell...
Anyways, Sora Elliott and I found a Golden Family this week! Let me explain:
The Golden Family
A golden family is one in which all the members have clearly been prepared by the Lord to learn about the gospel. They are really hard to find out here in Romania, but we found one! It is so exciting! This couple came to our English class and they were so lovely. Sora Elliott and I initially met with the mom to help her learn English yoga terminology, but then she loved our spiritual thought and wanted us to meet with her family! She, her husband, and their 19-year-old daughter are absolutely golden. We went over for lunch on Saturday and it was like being home! I don't know who at home has been feeding missionaries, but THANK YOU. Karma works. We got fed amazing food and they played Taylor Swift and the Piano Guys.It made my whole missionary life. We showed them the Piano Guys "O come, O come Emmanuel" Christmas video and they loved it. They agreed to take the missionary discussions and we have another lesson with them tonight, Prayers, please!
And now for something a little more dorky and fun...
The Lion and The Caterpillar
Okay, so here's the deal: we have a tradition in our mission that every missionary must take a spirit journey. Let me explain. There were, a few years back, two Elders of native american descent who talked about how everybody has a spirit animal and you must go on a spirit journey so that your animal can pick you. They were the first to conduct a spirit journey, but they have since taught other Elders and sisters how, and they lead you on this guided meditation tour to find your animal. Now, I was skeptical when I first heard about this. However, due to peer pressure and pizza one P-day, I decided to participate in a spirit journey with some of my missionary friends and it was legit! Seriously, one of the most fun parts of my mission. Sora Elliott and I both found our spirit animals and they were awesome! Hence the title: Sora Elliott is a caterpillar and I am lion. What do you think, does my animal fit? Quite the companionship, right? I think we're having way too much fun on our mission...
I hope everyone has had and will have a wonderful week! Stay safe and healthy. Until next week!
