Family and Friends!
This week was such a blur! We started teaching English classes this week and after class some of my students asked if they could take pictures with me. #celebritystatus They are the sweetest and I love them! They always laugh at my many Romanian mistakes, but that's okay because then they help me learn the language! Thankfully I'm not making English mistakes. That would be awkward...
But, you are babies!
So, I basically talk about Sora Vasile every week because she is my absolute favorite person on the planet. This past week when we visited with her she was hilarious! We brought her roses...
And she was disappointed! As soon as she saw them she was like "Oh no! Why did you bring me roses? You have no money!" And we said "No, we have money!" And she was like "No you don't! You're babies!" And we were like "uhhh....wait, what?" She then proceeded to lecture us on how we are babies and that's why she feeds us warm milk because we are still growing and because we are babies we don't/can't
1) talk to strangers
2) be home after dark
3) do our own laundry
4) cook for ourselves
5) iron our clothes
6) travel alone
7) spend/have money
That's when I realized that this woman has no idea what we as missionaries do and it was hilarious. My job is literally to talk to strangers all day, every day. However, we didn't have the heart to tell her that she might be slightly off regarding what we do, so we let her believe what she wants and we drank the warm milk so we could grow. She's old and wears a track suit every day. She's can basically do whatever she wants.
Chick Flicks and Chic Pics
Ever After is one of my favorite chick flicks ever and we got to watch it for a YSA activity this past week! It was amazing! Afterwards, we were walking to the Metro and (don't show Sora Vasile because we're out after dark) we found this awesome graffiti so we had to take a picture:
The girl in the picture with me is Cristiana from the Golden Family! She is amazing and I literally love her so much. I can't wait to have more pictures with her!
Zone Conference Featuring David and Rachel Rutley
So, David Rutley and his wife came to our zone conference. For those of you who don't know, David Rutley is a member of British Parliament and he is good friends with President Ivory, so he and his family came out to see us in Romania. It was awesome, but nearly as awesome as...
SEEING SORA KOTH! I finally have a picture with my mission trainer! She goes home at the end of this transfer and it's the saddest thing ever. She's an amazing missionary and I'm going to miss her bunches! However, she's served a great mission and I'll be lucky if I get to be half as good as her.
Missions are the best, but it doesn't mean that I don't love and miss all of you! I wish I had more time to write - until next week!
