Hello Family and Friends!
When Friends Come to Visit
Look who came to visit me in Bucharest: SAM. Sam is a member from America serving in the army and she has been stationed in Romania for about a year. I met her in my first transfer in Constanta. Isn't it so crazy that she came all the way to Bucharest just to visit little ol' me?
She's the cutest! She and my friend Kyle drove up to Bucharest to spend some time with Sora Elliott and me - we had the best day ever! Kyle is an investigator/friend/person I worked with in Constanta and guess what?!
KYLE IS GETTING BAPTIZED.
I am so happy for him. He called my mission president this past week and asked if I could take a day trip to Constanta and my mission president said that there is a 99% chance we can make that happen. How cool is that?! I'm so glad I have friends :)
Can You Model This Bag?
So the coolest hing happened to me this past week. This Romanian woman stopped me in the street and asked if she could photograph me for her company. I was super confused because I didn't understand if it was because I was a missionary or what, but then she explained that she is the PR director of this awesome bag company and the bag I have (which was a gift from Sam) is actually one from their company! She liked how it looked on me and now the pictures she took are going on their website. If anyone wants to order a cool missionary bag, this is her website: http://www.linia21.ro/
So cool, right? Romania is awesome :)
Cine e Satana?
On Sunday we had six investigators in church! We had two girls from our English class come and we had a mom (Elena) and her two nine year old twins (Ioana and Stefan). Ioana sat next to me during Sacrament meeting and she was flipping through the Book of Mormon I gave her. I didn't think she was reading it, but at one point she tapped me on the arm and quietly asked "cine e Satana?" Which means "Who is Satan?" And I quietly responded that he was a very bad man and she nodded knowingly and then went back to her reading. She's nine, people. What was I doing at nine years old? Probably eating play dough or cutting my own hair with safety scissors. Anyways...
How To Win Friends And Influence People
Can we just talk about one of my favorite books of all time? We're getting all kinds of selfies up in here, but this book is seriously amazing! I want everyone to put this on their bucket list of reading this year and then actually read it! It will change your life. Also, the Book of Mormon will change your life, but I feel like you people already know that because of my name tag and emails and, well, the fact that you are reading a missionary's blog ;)
Seriously though: read the Book of Mormon! It's the word of God! Read How To Win Friends And Influence People! It will help you deal with the children of God! All in all, it's a win-win, right?
Love you all and I'll talk to you next week!
