Sora Savoie's Romania Files | Week 29 | Bikes and Blessings

Madison Savoie

Hello everyone!

The weather here has been so lovely as of late...

So, we decided to go and be real missionaries with real bikes! What?! It was so much fun. Bucharest in the summer is so incredibly hot, but when you're with an awesome companion like Sora Schow, everything is fun! She is seriously the best. We have way too much fun together going out and getting to know the people of Romania! We have been working with a couple of really wonderful families recently and we hope that they will continue to learn and grow in the gospel. One of our families, though, moved to England this past week! However, the mom still emails me and I love that we get to stay in touch!

Other fun things happening in Mihai Bravu...

Sora Elliott and I got to spend some time in the Mihai Bravu Family History Center! Since the site is only in English, we help people input their family information by translating the website while we work with them. Fun fact: The wordclick is the same in Romanian as it is in English...

Other fun things?

WELL:

We had this AWESOME lesson with a less-active family this week. Let me tell you what happened! So, Sora Schow and I stopped by to drop off cookies that we made (I know! I can bake cookies! #domestic) and when we got to their bloc nobody was there. We asked the neighbor, but they said that the family was out of town on vacation. We were a little disappointed and we started to leave, but I got the feeling we needed to go back. So, I turned to Sora Schow and I said, let's just leave them a nice note! As we were writing the note, a family was walking up the stairs with bags from vacation and we asked if they were the family we were looking for and they said yes and we told them we had cookies for them but didn't want to stay and bother them, but they invited us inside and offered us food and drinks and let us share our Easter message with them! It was amazing! Definitely worth the walk, the wait, and the baking!

Anyways, that's all we have time for this week! I love and miss everyone so much! Talk to you next week :)

cu drag,

Sora Savoie (and Sora Schow, but she usually sends her own email :P)
