First of all, check out this pepper...
It's giant! Oh my goodness! I could not believe how big it was when we got it from the store. And it tastes great too. You can tell that spring is here because all the good fruits and veggies are now available. My comp there in the background is smirking disapprovingly...;) Just kidding! I love that woman! She is the best! AND we found out this past week that we are actually related to each other! It's too good to be true! We really are sisters :)
American Easter vs. Romanian Easter
Happy American Easter, everyone! Fun fact about Romania: they use the Orthodox calendar since most people her are culturally and religiously Orthodox. Thus, Easter in America was on Sunday, but Easter here in Romania isn't until May! In Romania, it's a tradition to attend Midnight Mass for Easter. I'm going to pray really, really hard that we get permission to go. Our friends in our bloc (Romanian word for our apartment complex) said we could go with them if we want to sneak out! Of course we won't sneak, but I definitely want to go!
If you haven't watched it already, go watch the new Easter video that's online! I love it :) https://www.mormon.org/easter/hallelujah
Families in Church
Okay, so many of you have read about Elena and her 9-year-old twins, Ionana and Stefan, from my emails, da? Well, they came to church on Sunday! She came, and also Livia and her son Andrei! It was such a wonderful day at church. We love these families a lot, and we are hoping that the more they come, the more they will feel of God's love for them.
Anyways, that's all for now! I love and miss all of you and hope you had a wonderful Easter! Let me know what your favorite Easter traditions are and how you're getting ready for General Conference this weekend. I'd love to hear from you! Also, in case you didn't know....
MY 6-MONTH-ON-MY-MISSION-MARK IS ON WEDNESDAY.
There will be celebratory pictures sent in next week's email :)
Love and miss you all!
