Hello friends and family!
Sora Schow and I were cleaning house today and WHAT did we find?
And these weird, heart-shaped sunglasses that, apparently, are "oh so chic." I'm pretty sure my eyes hate me for having put them on my face, but the person who made them must have thought they were a great idea and the person who bought them did too...so who am I to say they aren't just fabulous??? We still threw them away.
OH MY GOSH. PEOPLE. I've already been on my mission for 6 months! WHAT. How crazy is that?? I had to write a little 6-month-anniversary-to-myself note on this ghetto whiteboard in our apartment to commemorate the moment! Sora Schow and I bought chocolate to celebrate :) Woohoo!
Okay, now for the important stuff...
General Conference for missionaries is like Christmas! We watched it in Romanian and even though I couldn't understand what was being said most of the time, I could feel the spirit so strongly as it testified to me answers to my questions, calmed my fears, and strengthened my resolve to be even better tomorrow than I am today. It was wonderful. Unfortunately we didn't get to watch the Sunday afternoon session of conference because of the time difference, but I'm sure it was great. For those of you who did get to see it, you should email me your favorite talks! Here's one of my favorite quotes from our Prophet Thomas S. Monson:
I know that when we choose to follow Christ, it is the correct choice. I know that, regardless of where we have been, when we choose to follow Christ our pathway in life is filled with the hope and happiness that can soothe even the deepest of sorrows, pains, or regrets. And, the best part, is that all of these things help us be happy! So, let's all make a goal to choose Christ because in doing so, we ultimately choose to be happy.
