Sora Savoie's Romania Files | Week 40 | Sibiu Round 2

Madison Savoie

Hello Friends and Family!

That's right! Transfers are in and I'll be going into SIBIU ROUND 2 and Sora Djahanbani will be going to PANDURI in BUCHAREST!!! Sora Djb is going to love Buc and I am so grateful to be staying in such a beautiful, vibrant city. This past week was absolutely filled with adventures. I wish I could include more pictures in these emails!

Museul Astra

For our last week in Sibiu, Sora Djb and I took a little adventure to Museul Astra. It's an outdoor museum here in Sibiu and it features traditional Romanian ways of life. We met so many amazing people! Like the man in the picture below. He is a sculptor and makes little clay figurines of Romanian men and women. He had a beautiful set up of the nativity that he had made and when he told us all about it. He lives in Brasov, but we had a great talk with him and got his contact information so he can meet up with the missionaries over there.

Games Night

Our last week together in Sibiu, Sora Djb and I had the most awesome YSA activity. We shared one of my favorite videos EVER for the spiritual thought:

Check it out if you have 3 minutes and 11 seconds. I translated it into Romanian so everyone could understand, but the message was beautifully clear even without my mediocre translation skills. It was awesome! Sometimes, I think all of us need to be reminded that we would do well to slow down a little, focus on the significant, lift up our eyes, and truly see the things that matter most. Because diligently doing the things that matter most will lead us to the Savior of the world.

They loved it, I loved it, we played spoons and the spoons loved it! We had the best time :) (That's them in the picture below...:D)

Anyways, that's all for this week. It's been so full of adventures and there are so many more to come! I'm going to miss Sora Djahanbani so much; I already miss her like crazy and it's been less than a day! But, she's going to love Bucharest. And besides, we're going to room together at BYU after all of this! If any of you are ever lacking in friends, go serve a mission. I've made some of the most amazing, life-long friends here and I can't imagine another day without them.

cu drag,

Sora Savoie
