I want to start off this email with a very simple, yet possibly overlooked word:
As my mission begins to come to a close, I've been thinking a lot about gratitude. I love how this definition calls it the quality of being thankful, and how we express gratitude is through our readiness or willingness to show appreciation for kindness by returning kindness.
We had the extraordinary opportunity to be visited by Elder Sabin this past week. He is probably one of the most quotable people I've ever met and one of my favorite quotes from him was the following:
"You will never be more happy than you are grateful."
So, this week, I'm going to keep it simple and simply say thank you. Thank you to every one of you for reading my emails and supporting me through this amazing adventure. Thank you for emailing me and for sending your love and support in the form of prayers and parcels. Thank you for everything you do!
I also want to express my gratitude for my mission, for my amazing companion Sora Schow, for my mission President and his wonderful wife, for my ever-supportive parents who always tell me I'm their favorite child (not in so many words, but you get the idea) and last, but definitely always first, I am grateful for Jesus Christ and His Atoning sacrifice that makes it possible for each and every one of us to come back today and be better tomorrow.
all my love,
Sorry...it's blurry :P
